After successful calibration, you are ready to begin the motion capture process in Moverse Studio. Currently, the system supports capturing for one person at a time. Here are the steps to initiate and manage motion capture:

Step 1: Actor Enters Capturing Space

  • Have the actor enter the designated capturing space.

The actor enters the capturing space

  • Select the body type closer to the body type of the actor.

Step 2: Start Capture

  • Press the Body Solving button to capture the actor’s movements.

Instantly, you will see the motion capture data in the studio’s 3D viewer.

The body is visible in the 3D viewer once the body solving is on

Step 3: Stabilize Capture with a Static Pose

  • Have the actor assume a static pose, such as the ‘alpha’ pose, to stabilize the capture.

The actor stands in A-pose in the middle of the capturing space to initialize body tracking

  • Press the Body Tracking button to enhance tracking stability.

Step 4: Continuous Capturing

  • The system is now ready for continuous motion capture.

The actor is ready to freely perform into the capturing space

Step 5: Enable Hand Tracking and Finger Re-processing

  • Activate Hand Tracking: Enhance your motion capture data by enabling hand tracking. This feature, located at the top of the user interface, allows for detailed tracking of hand and finger movements.
  • Cloud Re-Processing: Enabling this feature also activates finger re-processing on the cloud, ensuring high accuracy and refinement of the finger motion data captured. This process utilizes advanced algorithms to deliver precise and detailed representations of hand gestures.

Step 6: Disable and Enable Body Tracking for Re-capturing

  • If the actor exits and re-enters the capturing space, or if you want to record another actor:
    • Disable the Body Tracking feature.
    • Re-enable Body Tracking after the actor has re-entered the capturing space and assumed the initial static pose.

Conclusion

Follow these steps each time you initiate a motion capture session to ensure the highest quality of data capture. If you encounter any issues, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact technical support for assistance.
