Physical Specifications

Operational Workflows

The board is used in both calibration phases:

1. Extrinsic Volume Calibration (Phase 1)

Traverse the target through the physical volume, rotating the board smoothly across different elevations and orientations.
  • Detection Criteria: Ensure the fiducial marker is visible to at least 2–3 overlapping camera viewports simultaneously to collect robust measurements.
  • Coverage: Continue moving through the space until all per-camera progress bars reach 100%.

2. Ground Origin Calibration (Phase 2)

Lay the marker board completely flat on the capture floor at the desired coordinate system center.
  • Axis Definition: The marker’s planar alignment dictates the world ground plane (Y=0Y=0) and sets the global origin (0,0,00, 0, 0).
  • Sampling: Capture the sequential coordinate samples in Moverse Capture Studio as outlined in the Calibration Guide.

Fabrication Guidelines

Print Scaling Verification: When outputting the SVG to a wide-format printer, disable any “Fit to Printable Area” or auto-scaling settings in your software. Scaling the file dynamically will result in metric coordinate calculation errors inside the tracking engine.
Always verify prints by measuring the black rectangle’s dimensions which should be 30cm.
